Where

The Estrel Congress Center will host Contributor Day, both conference days, and the After Party. A venue map will be distributed at registration and put online for download. An accessibility section is below. 

Who

Who’s who at #WCEU.

  • Attendees – Scroll through our Attendees page to see who is coming to WordCamp Europe this year. All Standard tickets and Micro-sponsor tickets are sold out, but you might find/transfer one using the hashtag #WCEUtickets
  • Speakers – Browse the list of Speakers to decide which talks and workshops to attend.
  • Sponsors – If you’re an attendee, learn more about WordCamp Europe’s generous Sponsors and companies to meet in person, if you’re an Attendee. Review technical guidelines on booths, decorative materials and floor coverings in preparation for the event and providing compliance certificates, if you’re a Sponsor
  • Volunteers – Applaud our indispensable team of Volunteers who are vital in delivering an unforgettable WCEU.
  • Organisers – Meet the Organising Team who have been working since September 2018 to create the best possible experience for you.

The 2019 event

What to expect and when to expect it, from start to finish.

Wednesday 19 June: Warm-up events

Thursday 20 June: Contributor Day from 8:30-17:00 for those who registered for one of 500 free tickets. If you are not sure which team to join on the day, try our Contributor Orientation Tool

Friday and Saturday, 21-22 June: Main Conference Days – view the Schedule for talks and workshops and Sessions for details, plus panel discussions and WP Cafe for informal topics. Be sure to register for a workshop if interested.

Saturday 22 June: After Party at the Estrel venue from 19:00 ’til late. Badge required, dancing shoes optional. The theme is “Back to the 80s!“.

Monday 24 June: Post-WCEU event

Also at the venue

  • Accessibility and inclusion: Information about venue accessibility, childcare, optional areas for nursing, quiet zones, live captioning and much more at Accessibility and Inclusivity
  • Childcare: Free childcare services onsite for all ages up to 14 years old. More at: Free childcare at WCEU.
  • Food menus: The whole event is catered and there is something for everyone. Take a look at the menus so you know what to expect. 
  • Info Desk: Your go-to place for information during WCEU. The desk will be situated in the foyer between the registration area and the main conference area. More at Info Desk at WCEU.
  • Kids welcome! Admission is free for those 16 years old and younger, and we’re offering a WordPress Workshop for Kids.
  • Livestreaming will be available on 21-22 June via link we post on social media. No registration required. 
  • Sustainability: Our goal is to minimise waste with fewer or no one-use items and to encourage Sponsors and Attendees to be smart about swag. More at: Reducing waste at WCEU and our Charity Drop for any WordCamp t-shirts you no longer need.
  • Wellness: Yoga, guided meditation and mindfulness sessions will be held on both conference days. First come, first served; no registration necessary. Dates and times at: Schedule.
